Ayurveda

“Ayurveda, in my understanding is not just a system of medicine, nor it is just knowledge of life. It is a journey of  philosophy of  a healthy life in which we come across all branches of medicine, herbal pharmacology and surgery.  Since more than five thousand years  sages under around the Himalayas are trying to find the root cause of pain and sufferings of mankind and alleviate the sufferings through the best possible way. The saga is still continuing. New era, new diseases, new brains, new antibiotics, new technology, new sages, the saga goes on.  Every single invention of mankind is to be and live happy ultimately. Unfortunately people are behind individual happiness. My car, my home, my family, my kitchen, my bank balance.  Finished.”

 – Abstracts from the introduction of  Dr Kanada Narahari’s upcoming book  “Ayurveda For All”

“Aahaarashuddhou sattvashuddhih.

Mind is pure if your food is pure.  But we never eat at time. If we eat at time, we don’t eat good food that suit our individual constitution. If we eat at time, eat proper food, never mind about eating with regular intervals. If everything is correct, we never care about the appetite and digestive system.  Either we hungry or not, we eat.  Worst part is some time, we live to eat. Why this ignorance?

We stress for nothing. We commit suicide. We can’t overcome situations like failing in a new small business. Our children commit suicide just because of not coping up with new schoolmates. Why these difficulties?”

” As a holistic approach to any disease, targeting the disease root cause and mobilizing the accumulated bad doshas, Ayurveda stands distinctively divine in clinical and therapeutic way in the modern world.”

“The ever most popular phrase in the field of modern wellness: “Balance your body mind and soul” is the philosophy of ayurveda told in Charak Samhita long back. He says: Sattva(mind) Atma(Soul) and Shareera ( Body) are the three entities which in combination causing the life on earth. Very big concept. We must be happy to the first effort of carrying the message from the ayurveda texts to the field of modern wellness.”

“We can’t find single vegetation on this planet which has no medicinal value. Ayurveda also uses mineral and animal products in many medicinal preparations. Acharya Charaka says: “Naastyanoushadham kinchit” which means ‘Each and every part in this universe has some or other medicinal value’ “

“Tridosha siddhanta(Three humours  theory), Panchamahaabhoota siddhanta (Five elements theory), kaarya kaarana siddhaanta  (cause and effect theory), saamaanya vishesha siddhanta (Common and uncommon theory in respect of clinical and therapeutic administrations), Loka purusha Saamya vaada( Relation of Human being with the Universe), there are such standard principles explained in detail in all the principle classics of Ayurveda. Blended well with the eastern philosophies, Ayurveda is the only philosophy in the world which is rich in time tested  civilized culture and also medicine. In other words Ayurveda is the sytem of holistic medicine with rich philosophical approach towards life.”

“To the point to say, Ayurveda is the most ancient system of medicine and philosophy of life existing and serving mankind on the earth since more than 5000 years continuously. ”

Since adopting Ayurveda lifestyle and medicine practice from last nine plus years I strongly realized that Ayurveda is the only philosophy of life which is serving mankind through the messages on gaining the quality of health and the ways to overcome the quantity of accumulated Karma.”
